Head underground in the mine at Prettau (Predoi)

Archaeological Museum Bozen (Bolzano) - the iceman - Ötzi?

This sensational find in 1991 in the Ötztaler Alps is a central piece of puzzle of our past. Ötzi, the „man from the ice“, lived 5,300 years ago and his clothes and equipment give an up to now unique insight into the daily life of a Stone-Age person.

A Holiday-Must: An excursion to Caldaro/Kaltern and its lake

Rolling vineyards, a blue mirror, rising above it all the ruins of Castelfeder. Caldaro/Kaltern is a farmers' village with numerous wineries. Lake Caldaro/Kalterer See is a blue jewel in the midst of vineyards and it is the warmest and biggest lake for bathing of South Tyrol
