Natural - Friendly - Sustainable.
Our Philosophy in a Few Words!
Nature is our greatest capital, cordiality is our tradition and sustainability is our aim.
We attach great importance to sustainability because we belive that “we have not inherited the world from our ancestors but have leased it from our children.”
Furthermore, we attach great importance to food, which we prepare for our guests and which we also eat ourself. We refuse to use pesticides and artificial fertilizers and we believe in zero food miles. From farm to fork is our motto.

Wood is very important for us. We use in all rooms and apartments wood for flooring and interior.
We are also very proud of the fact that our heating is climate neutral!
For heating and hot water we use exclusively damaged wood and wood from thinning from our own forests.

The same importance to sustainability is attached to the way in which we treat our animals. Our guiding principle here is species- appropriate breeding.
In the summer our cattle is on alpine pasture, in spring and autumn they are grazing on our meadows and pastures and during the winter they have a shed where they can move freely. In other words: Although some of our aminals are kept for commerical purposes (mainly for our own kitchen) we do want to ensure that they have a happy life.
We breed Tyrolean Grey Cattle and we thus support a local race, which is threatened with extinction.
We, the family Zelger, are simple people who love their country and their work. Our hospitality is honest and friendly. We are looking after you and your wishes so that your stay at our farm will be just as you imagined or even better.
