Head underground in the mine at Prettau (Predoi)

Archaeological Museum Bozen (Bolzano) - the iceman - Ötzi?

This sensational find in 1991 in the Ötztaler Alps is a central piece of puzzle of our past. Ötzi, the „man from the ice“, lived 5,300 years ago and his clothes and equipment give an up to now unique insight into the daily life of a Stone-Age person.
